Appendix A - Typical knowledge and skills list

Establishes criteria for certification of instrumentation and control technicians at nuclear facilties. The criteria addresses qualifications based upon experience, training, education, and job performance. A number of nuclear facilities maintain formally accredited training and qualification programs, as outlined in 10 CFR 50.120 (Training and Qualification of Nuclear Power Plant Personnel). Facilities which maintain these programs may be considered to meet the provisions of the standard.
