A Withdrawn Standard is one, which is removed from sale, and its unique number can no longer be used. The Standard can be withdrawn and not replaced, or it can be withdrawn and replaced by a Standard with a different number.

The principle is based on the measurement of colour, by the method specified in ISO 2211, of a test portion in the molten state. The results are expressed in Hazen units. - ISO 1389, Parts 1 to 11, replace ISO Recommendation R 1389-1970.
