A Withdrawn Standard is one, which is removed from sale, and its unique number can no longer be used. The Standard can be withdrawn and not replaced, or it can be withdrawn and replaced by a Standard with a different number.

In the Annex are specified sampling conditioning of the test pieces, temperature and duration of the test and immersion liquid, size of the test piece, apparatus and procedure. A formula is given to calculate the change in volume.
