A Withdrawn Standard is one, which is removed from sale, and its unique number can no longer be used. The Standard can be withdrawn and not replaced, or it can be withdrawn and replaced by a Standard with a different number.

ISO 20876 describes a method of evaluating the ability of an insole, irrespective of the material, to hold stitches or to take clenched metal fastenings. The method has become accepted as a general quality criterion for insole materials even where attachment is by means of adhesives.
