A Withdrawn Standard is one, which is removed from sale, and its unique number can no longer be used. The Standard can be withdrawn and not replaced, or it can be withdrawn and replaced by a Standard with a different number.

Specification of apparatus, pre-conditioning of the test pieces, procedure and test report. This method is applicable to all kinds of leather, of any type of tannage, except for firm leathers of thickness 3 mm or greater. This measurement is valid for both the whole leather and a test sample.
