This second edition cancels and replaces the first edition (ISO 3056:1974), of which it constitutes a technical revision. Constitutes a guide to the selection, use, inspection, testing, maintenance and repair of non-calibrated, round steel, short link chains and chain slings. Lifting chains and chain slings may be governed by national and local laws and regulations.
