Withdrawn
A Withdrawn Standard is one, which is removed from sale, and its unique number can no longer be used. The Standard can be withdrawn and not replaced, or it can be withdrawn and replaced by a Standard with a different number.

This second edition cancels and replaces the first edition (ISO 3178:1974), of which it constitutes a minor revision. Annex B, works certificate, has been replaced by a certificate of conformance. Specifies tests on ropes, tests on wires from the rope, certificates, inspection facilities, packaging.
