A Withdrawn Standard is one, which is removed from sale, and its unique number can no longer be used. The Standard can be withdrawn and not replaced, or it can be withdrawn and replaced by a Standard with a different number.

Applies only to test gases which are insoluble in water. Specifies three methods for the determination of the volume of gas diffusing through the wall of a hose in a specified period. This third edition cancels and replaces the second edition (1987).
