This document specifies the characteristics of fusion fittings made from polyethylene (PE) as well as of mechanical fittings for piping systems in the field of the supply of gaseous fuels.
NOTE 1 Additional information related to the installation of PE100-RC systems is given in ISO4437-1:2026, AnnexA.
NOTE 2 Additional information about the suitability of PE pipe systems for hydrogen and its admixtures is given in ISO4437-1:2026, AnnexD.
It also specifies the test parameters for the test methods referred to in this document.
In conjunction with ISO4437-1, ISO4437-2, ISO4437-4 and ISO4437-5, this document is applicable to PE pipes, fittings and valves, their joints, and joints with components of PE and other materials intended to be used under the following conditions:
1)1bar = 0,1MPa = 105 Pa; 1MPa = 1N/mm2.
