PERSONAL STATION BASE-STATION COMPATIBILITY REQUIREMENTS FOR 1.8 TO 2.0 GHZ CODE DIVISION MULTIPLE ACCESS (CDMA) PERSONAL COMMUNICATIONS SYSTEMS
12-01-2013
23-07-2013
Defines that a personal station can obtain service in any PCS system manufactured according to this standard. Does not address the reliability, quality or service, nor measurement procedures, or equipment performance. Detailed call-processing procedures are specified for personal stations to ensure a uniform response to all base stations. This specification includes provisions for future service additions and expansion of system capabilities. The architecture defined by this specification permits such expansion without the loss of backwards compatibility to older personal stations.
