This Standard gives the safety requirements specific to hydraulic excavators as defined in JIS A 8308. It is intended to be used in conjunction with JIS A 8340-1 : 2022, which specifies general safety requirements common to two or more earth-moving machine families. The specific requirements given in this Standard take precedence over the general requirements of JIS A 8340-1 : 2022.
