This Japanese Industrial Standard specifies the roughness comparison specimens used as the standards for tactile, visual, and like comparison with machined surfaces, in terms of surface roughness values (arithmetical mean roughness (Ra), maximum height (Ry), and tenpoint mean roughness (Rz). Further, the roughness comparison specimens of center line mean roughness (Ra75) shall comply with the standards specified in the Annex.
