This Japanese Industrial Standard specifies the tolerance system applied to general-use threaded fasteners having thread nominal diameters of 1.6 to 150 mm and threaded fasteners for fine mechanics having thread nominal diameters of 1 to 3 mm, hereinafter referred to as the \"tolerance system\". Where a tolerance system based on the maximum material condition can be adopted for general-use threaded fasteners, JIS B 0023 may be applied.
