This Japanese Industrial Standard specifies the steel square nuts for general use. However, the square nuts to be used for wood working are excluded. The strength classes 4T to 6T of the mechanical properties specified in this Standard are to be disused in the future, and the mechanical properties in the Annex 1 or the Annex 2 to JIS B 1052 are to be introduced.
