General rules for marking on valves

This Standard specifies the general rules for marking on valves specified in JIS B (Mechanical Engineering) Division. This Standard may apply to the valves of other divisions; however, do not apply to industrial-process control valves specified in JIS B 2005 (series) and faucets, ball taps and flush valves specified in JIS B 2061. If an individual product standard specifies the requirements for marking, those shall take precedence.
