This Standard specifies protocol specifications of the controller-level networks which realize communication networks between PLC, RC or NC and FA controllers or computers. This Standard provides the network specifications such as service and protocol. Conformity to the FL-net (OPCN-2) can be realized by implementing this Standard into systems and units. Verification of conformity and interconnectivity is outside the scope of this Standard.
