This Japanese Industrial Standard specifies the general use end suction centrifugal pumps of single suction and single stage which handle water at 0 to 40 centigrade degrees, are used at up to the maximum service pressure of 1 MPa (10.2 kgf/cm*2), have suction bore of 40 to 200 mm and are connected directly to four-pole or two-pole, three-phase induction motors at 50 Hz or 60 Hz by flexible coupling on a common base.
