Standard defines the structures of tanks for storage, under approximately atmospheric pressure, of petroleum which is liquid at a temperature not lower than atmospheric temperature and at the atmospheric pressure or of liquid similar thereto, hereinafter referred to as "storage tanks", which are steel total welded circular cylinder storage tanks having fixed roof, floating roof or floating roof with fixed roof having sufficient support force for supporting petroleum storage tank, and their body is assembled by welding on the ground where uniform foundation is provided. Applies exclusively to the body and attachments defined in this Standard, and does not apply to attachments such as piping, valves, instruments, etc. connected with the nozzle and to foundation, oil preventive embankment, painting, etc.
