This Japanese Industrial Standard specifies the structure of the cylinder type fixed roof storage tanks of aluminium and aluminum alloy welded construction not higher than 8 m, which are used for storage of liquid chemicals at normal pressure, hereinafter referred to as the \"storage tanks\". However, storage tanks for low temperature use are excluded. This standard applies only to the bodies and accessories specified in this standard, and does not apply to valves connected with nozzles, accessories such as pipings and measuring instruments, and to foundations, oil preventive dikes, coatings and heat insulation works.
