This Japanese Industrial Standard specifies the centrifugal water chillers to be used for cooling or heating water having not less than 300 000 kcal/h (348.8 kW) in refrigerating capacity, which has been measured according to this technical standard, hereinafter referred to as the \"refrigerating machine\", the refrigerating cycle of which is constituted of the centrifugal compressor, driving gear of compressor (electric motor, turbine, engine, etc.), evaporator, condenser (of water-cooling type or air-cooling type), attached refrigerant piping, control apparatus, etc. Further, this technical standard applies to the refrigerating machine using Freon and does not apply to the refrigerating machine using brine other than water for cooling and heating, and the refregerating machine for dringk.
