This Japanese Industrial Standard specifies the general common requirements applied to separate type watt-hour meters and var-hour meters used for alternating current circuits, hereinafter referred to as the "meters", as well as those watt-hour, var-hour, and maximum demand electricity indication devices used in combination with such meters, hereinafter referred to as the "indication devices".
