This Japanese Industrial Standard specifies the thyristor rectifiers for floating charge, hereinafter referred to as the \"rectifiers\", of stationary alkaline storage batteries and of stationary lead-acid batteries specified in JIS C 8704, hereinafter referred to as the \"batteries\", in the category of nominal d.c. voltage 200 V or less and rated d.c. current 300 A or less. However, rectifiers used for communication equipments are excluded.
