This Japanese Industrial Standard is a sectional specification associated with generic specification JIS C 5101-1, and specifies tantalum solid electrolyte capacitors chips. These capacitors are primarily intended to be mounted directly on to substrates for hybrid circuits or on to printed boards. Two styles are considered; Style I, protected capacitors and Style II, unprotected capacitors.
