This Japanese Industrial Standard is a generic specification of manually operated switches which are equipped with mechanical contact(s) of a rated voltage not exceeding 500 V (of a.c. at a frequency 50 Hz or 60 Hz, or d.c.) and a rated current not exceeding 63 A, and are used for electronic equipment, and specifies the electrical and mechanical performances, weather resistance and other common requirements to be specified in the sectional specification, blank detail specification and detail specification of switches.
