This Japanese Industrial Standard specifies the measuring methods of laser diode modules for fiber optic transmission (modules which have optical fiber pigtail or receptacle for connection with optical fiber and contain such simple elements as photodiode for monitor, thermoelectric cooling element (peltier element), temperature sensor, optical isolator, etc. As needed, hereafter referred to as \"semiconductor laser modules\") to be used as an optical source.
