Test methods for bandwidth of multimode optical fibers

This Standard specifies test methods for determining and measuring the modal band-width of silica glass multimode fibers, multi-component multimode fibers, plastic cladding multimode fibers and all plastic multimode fibers. This Standard specifies the following three test methods (see Clause 4): Method A Time domain (pulse distortion) measurement; Method B Frequency-domain measurement; Method C Overfilled launch modal bandwidth calculated from differential mode delay (OMBc).
