This Standard specifies safety requirements for portable general purpose luminaires for indoor and/or outdoor use designed to be used with or incorporating electrical light sources on supply voltages not exceeding 250 V. This Standard also applies to portable luminaires for garden used in areas such as gardens and flowerbeds. This includes those with a pedestal, those secured by spikes driven into the ground, and those fastened by clamps (such as those that can be removed by hand using wing screws).
