This Japanese Industrial Standard specifies indicator lights for industry to be used in electric circuits of 600 V a.c. or less (50 Hz or 60 Hz) or 250 V d.c. or less. The indicator lights dealt with here are those composed of an illuminating part, light source (lamp or light emitting diode), and support, etc., intended for indication of circuit conditions by means of lighting and extinguishing of the light source, and mainly attached to control boards or switchboards for service.
