This Japanese Industrial Standard specifies molded case circuit breakers, with a rated current not exceeding 5000 a, a rated breaking capacity not exceeding 200000 a a.c. or 100000 a d.c. to be used for protection of electric circuits at a voltage not exceeding 600 V a.c. of frequency 50 Hz or 60 Hz or 500 V.d.c. (hereafter referred to as \"circuit breakers\").
