This Japanese Industrial Standard specifies current-operated type residual current circuit breakers for rated currents not exceeding 2500 a to be used for protection against earth fault of electric circuits for rated a.c. voltages not exceeding 600 V at a frequency 50 Hz or 60 Hz (hereafter referred to as \"residual current operated circuit breakers\" or \"rcocbs\").
