This Japanese Industrial Standard specifies the matters to be taken into consideration for the safety of a battery system used for an electric appliance when an engineer who designs the electric appliance with a battery accommodated designs the electric appliance, and minimum matters concerning the safety information passed on to the user of the battery, with respect to small-sized valve regulated lead-acid batteries for cyclic application, trickle application and float application which do not require water addition in order to prevent danger or damage to persons and materials
