This Japanese Industrial Standard specifies electric toasters of pop-up type hereinafter referred to as the \"toasters\", and electric oven toasters, hereinafter referred to as the \"oven toasters\", of rated power consumption not exceeding 1.5 kW mainly used for household and similar purposes. However, this standard is not applicable for toasters in which the temperature, period of time, electric power, etc. are controlled by an electronic system.
