This Japanese Industrial Standard specifies electrically heated area rugs by single phase a.c. supply with a rated voltage 100 V and a rated power consumption exceeding 100 w, having a front area of 1.5 m*2 or more, employing a heat sensitive wire or heat sensitive area for temperature detection (hereafter referred to as \"area rugs\").
