This Standard specifies lead-acid batteries with a nominal voltage of 12 V used for starting of internal combustion engine, lighting, ignition, and so on, of automobiles, etc. However, the seal lead batteries, and batteries for rolling stock, for electric vehicle, and for motorcycle are excluded.
