This Japanese Industrial Standard specifies the general requirements for the method with encircling coils (hereafter referred to as the \"test coil\") out of eddy cureent testing methods (hereafter referred to as the \"test\") intended to detect cracks and other flaws which exist in round steel bars (including steel wire rods, and 2 mm to 100 mm in diameter) and steel tubes (4 mm to 180 mm in outside diameter)(hereafter referred to as the \"test material\").
