This Japanese Industrial Standard specifies an atomic absorption spectrometric method by flame atomization after decomposition with acids, used for the determination of the lead content in iron and steel. This Standard is applicable to lead contents (mass fraction) in iron and steel of 0.01 % or over up to and including 0.35 %.
