This Japanese Industrial Standard specifies an atomic absorption spectrometric method by flame atomization after decomposition with acids, used for the determination of the zinc content in iron and steel. The method is applicable to zinc contents (mass fraction) of 0.005 % or over up to and including 0.025 %.
