This Japanese Industrial Standard specifies an atomic absorption spectrometric method for the determination of the phosphorus content in iron and steel. The method is applicable to phosphorus contents (mass fraction) of 0.000 3 % or over up to and including 0.010 %, but only for samples with a tungsten content (mass fraction) of less than 0.01 %.
