This Standard specifies the significant surface of hot dip aluminized coatings applied to steel products and fabricated steel products for the purpose of enhancing corrosion resistance and heat resistance. This Standard is not applicable to thin steel sheets (2.3 mm and under), wires, bolts and nuts, stainless steel, heat resistant steel, cast steel and cast iron.
