This Japanese Industrial Standard specifies the air-displacement and direct-displacement single-channel and multi-channel piston pipettes, designed as a volumetric apparatus to draw up and deliver their specified nominal volume. It is not applicable to piston burettes, piston diluters, piston dispensers, volumetric pipettes, measuring pipettes and micro syringes.
