This standard specifies sodium tripolyphosphate for use in industrial purposes. Sodium tripolyphosphate specified herein shall be a chemical product which is processed by heating at about 550 degree C the mixture of disodium hydrogen-phosphate and sodium dihydrogen phosphate in the mol ratio of 2 to 1.
