This Standard specifies the rubber materials of the vulcanized rubber products which are generally used for the purpose of preventing the transmission of vibration and impact or for absorbing vibration or shock. This Standard, however, is not applied to ebonite, cellular rubber and the rubber reinforced with fabrics or cords.
