This Japanese Industrial Standard specifies the requirements of polytetrafluoroethylene pipes, which have been manufactured from polytetrafluoroethylene resin powder specified in JIS K 6896 by compression or extruding moulding process. The polytetrafluoroethyene pipes are used as the parts of mechanical, electrical or chemical instrument or plant after cutting process, and sometimes are called \"sleeves\".
