This Japanese Industrial Standard specifies the testing method for Rockwell M, L, and R hardnesses of plastics. However, as a rule, M, L, and R hardnesses to be measured shall be in the range of from 50 to 115, respectively. Plastic films and tapes and plastic, foams shall be excluded from the application of this standard.
