This Japanese Industrial Standard specifies the method of determining the air permeance of paper and board of 0.1mum/(Pa s) to 100 mum/(Pa s) in ISO air permeance or 1.4s to 1300s in air resistance (Gurley). However, such materials as creped or corrugated papers, which cannot be securely clamped to avoid leakage are excluded.
