This Japanese Industrial Standard specifies the testing methods to obtain the transmittance and reflectance for visible light and the transmittance, reflectance and absorptance for solar radiation, as well as the emissivity of thermal radiation at ordinary temperature of the flat glasses for buildings using the spectrophotometer, and the method to calculate the solar heat gain coefficient when these flat glasses are used in the windows of building.
