This Japanese Industrial Standard specifies the sealed insulating glasses to be used in buildings, freezing-refrigerating showcases, etc. The sealed insulating glass designates two or more plate glasses, processed glass or those glasses, whose surfaces are processed with optical thin film, placed parallel in uniform clearance(s) to be filled with dry air in pressure near to the outside atmosphere whose periphery is sealed.
