JIS S 1121:2024

This Standard specifies requirements for aluminium alloy stepladders for general use and portable ladders. This Standard is not applicable to: a) exclusive use or combined use stepladders with two or more folding mechanisms; b) scaffolding stepladders with three or more folding mechanisms; c) tripod stepladders with front side rails adjustable in length, and with a rear leg structured to allow stepping on and to swing sideways; d) products whose structural parts including side rails, rungs and platform are made of plastics or other material.
