This Japanese Industrial Standard specifies the alarms and their displays which must be provided in medical electrical equipment (including systems of such equipment) used for the monitoring, diagnosis and medical treatment of patients, for the purpose of transmitting the information to medical employees quickly, if such an emergency state exists that the life of the patient or operator is directly affected or the similar state appears during service of the equipment. However, this Standard is not applied to medical radiological equipment.
