This Japanese Industrial Standard specifies the external cardiac pacemaker (hereafter referred to as \"pacemaker\") which corrects arrhythmia by giving electrical stimulus via the electrode contacting cardiac muscles, which is worn by a patient for portable use or installed at the bedside, and which is operated by the internal power supply. However, a pacemaker of induction type is excluded.
